Children, young people and adults at risk

Our church fully adopts and follows the Safeguarding Policy and Procedures of the Church in Wales. Safeguarding is an integral part of our life, mission, and ministry, and we are committed to providing a safe, caring, and respectful environment for all—especially children, young people, and adults at risk.

As part of the Diocese of St Asaph, we uphold the key safeguarding principles set out by the Church in Wales, which include:

Promoting the wellbeing of children and adults at risk, ensuring they are protected from harm, abuse, or neglect.
Raising awareness of safeguarding across our church community, helping everyone understand their responsibility to keep people safe.
Preventing abuse from occurring by fostering safe practices, safe recruitment, and informed vigilance in all church activities.
Responding promptly and effectively to concerns or disclosures, ensuring appropriate care and support for anyone who has experienced abuse.
Embedding safeguarding as everyone’s responsibility, recognising that creating a safe church is a shared commitment.

We work closely with the Provincial Safeguarding Team and the Diocese of St Asaph Safeguarding Officers to ensure best practice, training, and accountability in all safeguarding matters.
